Perhaps you had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mr. Irish McKinney last year at our First Annual Holiday Market. Irish was easily wrangled into the role of “Biker Santa” for last year's photo booth and fundraiser for the White Center Food Bank. This is an organization that Irish has raised thousands of dollars for through his event, Chicken Friday Christmas (http://whitecenterfoodbank.org/in-memory-of-irish-mckinney/). This past August Irish had a fatal blow out on his beloved Harley. Irish left behind hundreds of friends, family and his beloved wife, Marjorie, but not without first branding us with a desire to BE GOOD. He will not be forgotten.
In his honor and to carry on a great tradition, we will be collecting food for the White Center Food Bank and running a donation cocoa station to raise money for the organization, as well. Let’s make Irish proud and fill up many bins. For each item donated you will receive a raffle ticket for prizes from the organizing businesses.
“Life’s journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting “holy shit… what a ride!”
